Fields of Opportunity

A collaboration between Napa Valley Grapegrowers, Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation and Napa Valley Unified School District, Fields of Opportunity is an innovative mentorship program connecting local high school students interested in the wine industry, to a paid summer job.  Students will have an opportunity to work with four Napa Valley Grapegrowers throughout the summer to learn various aspects of the vineyard business.  Topics to include: viticulture, vineyard operations, mechanics and specialty training, safety & HR, winery and cellar work, and more!

Students participate in an 8 week rotational paid experience, spending 2 weeks in a specific area of vineyard management, farmwork, ag mechanics, or customer service at each partner organization.
